We so often see only
where our life is now: our broken
dreams, our illnesses, the consequences of bad choices (either those we have
made or that others have made for us), and the list goes on. Our vision is limited to the here and now.
Yet God sees into the
future. He knows what we can become and
where we will be. He KNOWS the plans He
has for us (Jeremiah 29:11) There is no
way, we in our humanness, can see what He sees.
So we get caught up in the
NOW.
But God sees BEYOND our
hurts to where He will take us and
how he will use us. As Jeremiah 18:4
says, “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the
potter; so he made it again in to another vessel, as seemed good to the
potter.”
God sees BEYOND the here
and now! He may have to smash us and
start over to make us who He needs us to be if we have strayed too far. Or
maybe He just needs some squishing or cutting here and there. Either way we have to be willing to let Him
do His work in us. The outcome will be
a vessel He will use, one full of good and beauty.
I’m so thankful I can trust Him with my life, my future,
my children, my dreams and my heart.
I’m joining Lisa Jo for

post: no editing or proofreading. Hop
on over to her site to read more posts!!!

Great minds think alike, I always like to say. A lot of what I said in my post is similar to your post. You write it beautifully. We are so lucky that he has a plan for us, right?
ReplyDeleteLove the timing of God. Thank you for being His Hands to share this truth!
ReplyDeleteI'm in a period of waiting, and it hasn't been easy. So grateful for a God who sees beyond our now, and gives us hope for a better tomorrow. Thank you for the reminder, Shanda!
ReplyDeleteReally good post.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful that God sees beyond my limitations.
ReplyDeleteWords of encouragement here today. Thank you. Beyond is a powerful addition to my prayers.
ReplyDelete" He may have to smash us and start over to make us who He needs us to be if we have strayed too far." Ouch, but oooh...what graceful images you created.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I wandered through FMF.
Peace and good to you.
So often get stuck in the "what to do next" rather than the now. Nuts.
ReplyDeleteYes! I have been so stuck in the circumstances of now lately and the lasting effects of poor choices made by others long before I could have had any say in them. Sometimes I feel like I'm just waiting for my real life to start and forget to live the life I have now!
ReplyDeletesometimes when things get mucky and painful I wonder why but when He shows me He's there in my corner working things out better than I could ever expect...it makes me want to trust more.
ReplyDeleteGreat reminders this morning. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing you always come up with wonderful thoughts to think about. Yes, we are a work in progress and only Heavenly Father is in charge of how it all turns out. I do trust in him!
ReplyDeleteThanks and blessings for this one!
I am happy that God can restore us all over again and again and again:)
ReplyDeleteGreat post Shanda
ReplyDeleteGod bless
