An Intruder In My Home

When you walk in the door and you see your furniture rearranged, your heart sinks.  For, you know there has been an intruder in your home. Immediately, I suspected what had happened.  Only one intruder gets stuck under the living room chairs and carries them with him to the dining room.

Sure enough, the back door was open and Tony, my 75lb African Sulcata Tortoise had entered.  I will not show you the evidence!  I do not understand why he cannot deposit everything in one place but he doesn't!

You know how hard it is to carry an object of that shape and size to the back yard?
I do know one thing: you cannot scold a tortoise!
African Sulcata's grow to between 150 and 200lbs and live well over 100 years.  They reach adult size at about 30 years.  Tony is about seven years old.

When your day is busy and you have writer's block, you can always post on one of the small pleasures in life!

  6. How does one come to have a tortoise as a pet? How does one deposit a tortoise in one's back yard? What is quality time with a tortoise like? Where will Tony's next home be (since he has 93+ years left to live)? This fascinates me. Do you have other exotic pets?

  9. If this is a result of writer's block, bring it on!!!! He is adorable!! Well first, how does he get in? And he really goes under the furniture and moves it around trying to get out? Has he ever been really stuck and you had to help?

  13. I think tortoises are fascinating creatures, but wouldn't want one that big in my house! How funny that it can actually move your furniture around. If he could learn to follow directions, this could be a big help to you! What a cool pet!

I tend to like things that are soft and like to sit in your lap! I am going to share your story with her today...she will enjoy it I am sure!

using for this site? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
