Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Proverbs 31:30-31
These photos were all taken in Mae Sai, a small town in Thailand on the border with Myramar (Berma). I love watching women around the world and find beauty in their faces their dress and their way of life.

ReplyDeleteHi Shanda,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I found your blog. I really liked this post on Beauty Photos. I have a missionary background myself and love cultures. I am not one that takes pictures, per se, so unfortunately, I don't have any to share at this time. But I see beauty everywhere. Like a tapestry or mosaic, all the faces of beauty reflect God in his glory.
Keep up the good work. In 2012, I pray we will all be more appreciative of the beauty and glory of God all around us.
Sincerely,
Beverly

ReplyDeleteI travel through Asia often, including Myanmar, i am wondering why you only show one side..??? There are many versions of the ladies including very sophisticated business women. I was in Mai Sai for the month of December 2011 and it is widely diverse not just traditional. A tremendous amount of commerce happens every day in this far north Thailand city..
